New Year, new me; time to stop talking to my ex-boyfriend and meet someone who’s worth my time, lose some weight, move to London, meet Jeffrey Morgan, fly an airplane….yeah I’m totally bullshitting you ALTHOUGH I’d really like to meet Negan...
Just because the clock strikes twelve doesn’t mean that you will instantly change your whole life around. Feelings take time, commitment takes time, getting over someone takes time. "What the new year really means is hope…hope and a great party" (sorry, had to quote NYE) but in all seriousness a new year is a time to reflect on who you were in 2016 and who you want to be in 2017. Want to meet a new guy? Go out and do it. Want to lose weight? Go out and do it. You’re not going to meet prince charming tomorrow and you’re certainly not going to lose 30 pounds over night, but you can hope and you can begin to pursue your goals.
Is one of your New Year’s goals to meet the guy of your dreams? Sometimes serendipity doesn’t work out. Sometimes boys are stupid and you have to put yourself out there a little to get what you want. We’re not all Disney Princess’s you know.
New Year, no bullshit. Stop texting that guy who keeps screwing you over.
Get out there more. Try new dating sites, go to new bars, get outside your comfort zone- you may be looking in the wrong places or at the wrong types of people.
This certainly is a challenge without a doubt, but it’s achievable. I will be taking the journey (have been and will continue to) of exposing myself. [I'm just a small town girl, living in a lonely world] …looking for love! I make mistakes, I fall for the wrong guys, I embarrass myself, but I’m here to share my story so you don’t fall into the same traps that I have.
